RAMADAN: FILL Care Foundation distributes food items to Widows, Vulnerables in Ilorin

In a heartwarming initiative to support vulnerable members of the community during the month of Ramadan, a Non-Governmental Organization, Fabulous Ilorin Ladies (FILL) Care Foundation has distributed essential food items to widows, youths and less privileged individuals in Ilorin, Kwara State.

 

This gesture aligns with the foundation’s mission to enhance the well-being of society’s less privileged and coincides with the celebration of International Women’s Day 2025.

 

The foundation’s State coordinator, Alhaja Bilikis Issa Dan-Azumi while addressing the beneficiaries emphasized that the outreach is part of their ongoing efforts to help the widow and provide succor to the vulnerables, ensuring they can observe the holy month of Ramadan with dignity and ease.

 

“This initiative not only underscores the foundation’s commitment to social welfare but also highlights the importance of community solidarity, especially during significant religious observances like Ramadan,” Dan-Azumi said.

 

Beneficiaries of the initiative expressed profound gratitude for the foundation’s timely intervention held on March 8, 2025 at Raihana School, Olohunshogo, Adewole area in Ilorin, Kwara State Capital.

Risikatu Zubair from Adeta said, “this assistance has significantly lightened my family’s burden during this sacred period by allowing me to focus more on spiritual obligations without the constant worry of daily sustenance.”

 

“I’m a constant beneficiary of FILL Care Foundation annual outreach support, I pray Allah continue to enrich their pockets and elevate their members,” Aishat Fatia told our reporter.

 

FILL Care Foundation is a registered NGO that was co-founded by Hajiya Asmau Bimpe Yusuf, the National President and CEO of De-pals Care Foundation.

 

The foundation which has been in existence for more than 8 years, prioritize catering for the social change and development of underprivileged individuals in the community. They have embarked on series of intervention programs such as Cash Palliative support for widows, medical outreach, education sponsoring and empowering young females, and many more, funded through the contributions of the members of the association.
