My New Year’s Resolution Is to Bring AFCON Gold to Nigeria – Ademola Lookman

Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman has revealed that his New Year’s resolution for 2026 is to win the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title with Nigeria.

Lookman made this known while speaking to journalists during a Super Eagles training session ahead of their second-round fixture at the ongoing AFCON tournament in Morocco.

Asked about his goals and aspirations for the new year, the 28-year-old Atalanta star expressed confidence in the team’s ambition, saying his focus is “to bring the gold back home.”

He also noted that the Super Eagles are not concerned about avoiding any opponent in the competition, adding that the team is fully prepared to face whoever comes their way.
