Former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has accused President Bola Tinubu of failing woefully in providing effective leadership for Nigeria.

Tambuwal made the remarks on Wednesday during the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential campaign flag-off in Sokoto State.

He criticised the Tinubu administration over what he described as its failure to fulfil key promises made during the 2023 presidential election campaign, particularly in electricity supply, security, road development and infrastructure.

“Bola Tinubu and his team have failed woefully in providing leadership for Nigeria,” Tambuwal said.

He questioned the administration’s performance in addressing the country’s electricity and security challenges, as well as improving road networks and other critical infrastructure.

The former governor maintained that the All Progressives Congress (APC) had no justification for remaining in power, urging Nigerians to vote for former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and other ADC candidates in the January 2027 elections.

Tambuwal also called on party supporters to remain at polling units until votes were counted and results declared, warning against electoral malpractice.

He expressed confidence in the ADC’s chances, saying the party was determined to work hard to secure victory in the forthcoming elections.
