Saliu Mustapha Submits APC Nomination Forms for Kwara Governorship Race

Senator Saliu Mustapha, who represents Kwara Central in the National Assembly, has officially submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary in Kwara State.

Mustapha confirmed the development in a Facebook post, noting that the submission marks the beginning of his formal participation in the party’s screening process ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

According to him, the move represents a key milestone in his political journey and his vision for a more inclusive and progressive Kwara State.

“Yesterday, I formally submitted my Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Primary Ticket for Kwara State,” he stated.

He added that he remains committed to engaging key stakeholders across the state as the process unfolds.

“This marks my official entry into the party’s screening process and represents a significant step in the journey toward building a more progressive and inclusive Kwara State,” he said.

Mustapha further emphasized the importance of continued dialogue with party leaders and residents, expressing optimism about the road ahead.

“I look forward to continued engagement with the people of Kwara State, party leaders, and political stakeholders as the process progresses. Together, we will continue to work towards the future our state truly deserves,” he added.

The senator currently chairs the Senate Committee on Agriculture Production Services and Rural Development. He was elected in 2023 on the APC platform.

His entry into the race adds momentum to the growing list of aspirants vying for the APC governorship ticket in Kwara State ahead of the next general election.
