Manchester City Close Gap on Arsenal; Chelsea Held Again

Manchester City narrowed the gap at the top of the Premier League table to two points after a 2–1 victory over Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.

Nico O’Riley scored twice for Pep Guardiola’s side, finding the net in the 14th minute before restoring City’s lead five minutes after Newcastle had equalised through Hall. City held on to secure all three points, moving to 56 points from 27 matches, while Newcastle remain 10th with 36 points.

In another fixture, Chelsea were held to a 1–1 draw by Burnley at Stamford Bridge, marking their second consecutive draw. The Blues conceded a late equaliser to dent their top-four hopes.
