Kwankwaso receives supporters as NDC intensifies Kano mobilisation ahead of 2027

A former governor of Kano State and National Democratic Congress (NDC) leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has reaffirmed the party’s determination to strengthen its structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Addressing supporters at a gathering in Kano, Kwankwaso said the party was gaining momentum and remained focused on its political objectives.

“We continue to grow stronger, free from major distractions,” he said.

Photos from the event showed Kwankwaso dressed in white traditional attire and wearing his trademark red-and-white cap. He was accompanied by the NDC’s Kano Central senatorial candidate, Nasiru Gawuna, as they addressed a large crowd from an elevated platform.

Other photographs captured hundreds of supporters, many wearing the red caps associated with the Kwankwasiyya movement, cheering and waving in support of the party.

The reception reflects the NDC’s ongoing efforts to widen its support base in Kano State as political activities gradually build up ahead of the 2027 elections.
