Ajikobi/Alanamu: Sholagberu Joins Race for Kwara Assembly Seat
Hon. Ahmed Bolaji Sholagberu (ABSHO) has officially declared his intention to contest for a seat in the Kwara State House of Assembly, representing Ilorin North-West (Ajikobi/Alanamu Constituency).
The declaration, which marks his formal entry into the race, was made under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as he aligned himself with the leadership and developmental vision of Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
Addressing supporters and party stakeholders, ABSHO said his decision to join the contest was driven by a deep sense of responsibility and a desire to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of his constituency.
He emphasized the need for purposeful leadership that prioritizes the welfare of the people and delivers tangible results.
The aspirant noted that Ilorin North-West, particularly the Ajikobi and Alanamu axis, requires stronger legislative representation that will attract development, empower youths and women, and address pressing community needs. He assured constituents of his readiness to provide inclusive and people-oriented representation if elected.
ABSHO also pledged loyalty to the APC and reiterated his commitment to supporting the policies and programmes of the Abdulrazaq-led administration, which he described as focused on sustainable development and good governance across Kwara State.
Party members and supporters at the declaration event expressed optimism about his candidacy, describing him as a capable and grassroots politician with the experience needed to effectively represent the constituency.
