2027: Moshood Bakare Engages CAN Leaders, Pledges Inclusive, Quality Representation

The Peoples Democratic Party candidate for the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency, Hon. Moshood Bakare, has joined other Kwara South PDP candidates and party stakeholders in seeking the support and prayers of the Christian community ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Bakare, alongside the PDP candidate for Kwara South Senatorial District, Hon. Saheed Popoola, and the party’s candidate for the Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Oke Ero Federal Constituency, Chief Joseph Obanla, among other party leaders, paid a consultative visit to the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Oro.

The meeting, held at a Catholic Church in Oro, was part of ongoing stakeholder engagements aimed at strengthening relationships with religious, traditional and community leaders across Kwara South.

The engagement provided an opportunity for the PDP candidates to interact directly with CAN leaders, share their vision and discuss the need for purposeful and accountable representation at the National Assembly.

Speaking during the meeting, Bakare stressed the importance of inclusive leadership and regular engagement with the people, saying effective representation must be built around the genuine needs and aspirations of constituents.

He also highlighted grassroots development, interfaith unity and purposeful legislation as key areas that would guide his approach to public service if elected.

The PDP candidate appealed to members of the Christian community to support the party’s candidates, while also seeking their goodwill and prayers as the 2027 elections draw closer.

Bakare maintained that political leadership should not be limited to election periods, stressing that elected representatives must maintain meaningful relationships with religious institutions, community leaders and ordinary citizens throughout their tenure.

He said sustained consultation remained essential to understanding the challenges confronting communities and developing practical solutions that would improve the lives of the people.

The other PDP stakeholders at the meeting also reiterated their commitment to responsive governance, effective legislation and the overall development of Kwara South.

The consultation is part of Bakare’s broader stakeholder-driven engagements across traditional, religious and community networks in the constituency as he continues to build support for his 2027 bid.

His campaign is being promoted under the banner “MOSH 2027 — IRORUNDE,” with emphasis on quality representation, genuine public service and collective constituency development.
