2027: Gov. AbdulRahman’s Legacy Projects Will Guarantee APC Landslide Victory – Olododo

The 2027 All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency, Engr. Abdulquawiy Olododo, has declared that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s people-centred projects and achievements since 2019 will secure a landslide victory for APC candidates in Kwara at the 2027 general elections.

Featuring on Sobi FM’s Oro Ilu programme, the former Commissioner for Works asserted that no previous governor in the state’s history matched AbdulRazaq’s record in infrastructure, youth empowerment, job creation and inclusive governance.

Reflecting on his tenure as General Manager of the Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP), Olododo described the agency as a pioneer sub-national social safety net programme in Nigeria. He said the programme had impacted more than 200,000 residents and empowered nearly 1,000 young entrepreneurs through initiatives including Owo Isowo, Owo Arugbo and Kwapreneur.

On infrastructure, he highlighted extensive urban and rural road rehabilitation projects, including Taiwo Road, Unity Road and Ahmadu Bello Way, as well as projects he said had been neglected by previous administrations since 1999, including the Osin-Laduba Road, Yebumot-Adeta dualisation and the recently-completed Eiyekorin-Ojoku-Offa economic corridor.

Olododo also praised the administration’s investments in the digital and creative economy, citing the Ilorin Innovation Hub and Sugar Film Factory as examples of initiatives aimed at creating opportunities for young people.

He noted similar progress in agriculture, saying more than 10,000 farmers had received inputs and 100 tractors had been deployed, while strategic livestock partnerships, including dairy collection centres with Friesland Campina Wamco and an upcoming value-chain project under the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ) with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in Malete, were helping to modernise the sector.

He further said Governor AbdulRazaq had broken historical political barriers by appointing young people to key leadership positions, citing the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, as an example of youthful and competent leadership.

Addressing his 2027 House of Representatives campaign, Olododo described himself as a direct beneficiary of AbdulRazaq’s leadership and mentorship.

He traced his legislative and governance experience to his participation in the Kwara and National Children’s Parliaments between 2006 and 2011, as well as his subsequent executive roles at KWASSIP and the Ministry of Works.

Olododo urged voters to assess his candidacy based on his track record of public service, experience and commitment to the development of the constituency.
