2027: Atagisoro Secures NDC Ticket for Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency

Shuaib Muhammed Atagisoro has secured the ticket of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) to contest the Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 House of Representatives election.

Atagisoro, while formally announcing his candidacy in a personally signed statement, described his emergence as the beginning of a new political journey dedicated to serving and providing effective representation for the people of the constituency.

He said his ambition goes beyond seeking political office, stressing that it is a commitment to listen to constituents, represent their interests and bring their concerns and aspirations to the National Assembly.

According to him, Ilorin West/Asa deserves representation built on accountability, accessibility, opportunity and tangible results.

He identified youth development, quality education, infrastructure, healthcare and economic empowerment as some of the key areas that require greater attention in the constituency.

Atagisoro said his campaign would focus on issues, ideas and practical solutions rather than what he described as empty promises.

He also called on residents, including youths, women and community stakeholders, to actively participate in the political process by engaging with his campaign, asking questions and holding him accountable.

“I am coming to this contest with courage in my heart, humility in my spirit and a determination to serve,” he said.

Atagisoro further pledged to run an issue-based campaign centred on solutions, respect and the future of Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency.

He described his candidacy as “a new chapter” for the constituency and urged residents to join him in the journey towards what he called “better representation.”
