Sheikh Sholagberu Turbaned as First Malami Ubandomah of Ilorin Emirate
Sheikh Dr. Abdulkadir Alfa Oba Sholagberu has been turbaned as the first Malami Ubandomah of the Ilorin Emirate by the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari.
The turbaning ceremony took place earlier today at the Emir of Ilorin’s Palace, marking a historic moment in the Emirate.
Dr. Sholagberu, founder of Darul-Kitab Was-Sunnah College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, was honoured in recognition of his immense contributions to Islamic education and scholarship within Ilorin and beyond.
The title of Malami Ubandomah is a highly revered honour in the Emirate, traditionally bestowed on outstanding Islamic scholars and respected community leaders.
The colourful ceremony, which celebrated Ilorin’s rich cultural heritage and academic excellence, was well attended by prominent dignitaries, scholars, and members of the royal family.
