Olododo’s Table Tennis Championship to Unite 23 Wards in Ilorin East, South

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the Olododo’s Table Tennis Championship 2026 has announced the commencement of a seven-day tournament across the 23 political wards in Ilorin East and Ilorin South Local Government Areas of Kwara State.

The championship, which is scheduled to begin on Thursday, September 3, 2026, will kick off at the Balogun Fulani Forecourt in Ilorin South Local Government Area.

The tournament will continue on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Burhanudeen Primary School, Isale-Koto, Ojagboro, in Ilorin East Local Government Area.

According to the organisers, the sporting initiative is part of Engr. Abdulqawiy Olododo’s commitment to promoting social cohesion, grassroots sports development and the discovery of emerging talents among youths across the Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency.

The seven-day competition is expected to provide an avenue for young people across the 23 political wards to participate in sporting activities, build relationships and showcase their talents.

The initiative is also aimed at strengthening grassroots participation in sports while encouraging youths to pursue their potential through healthy competition.
