Abba Atiku, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has declared that no political party can defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Abba, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), made the statement on Sunday in Yola, Adamawa State, after receiving his APC membership registration card at Gwadabawa Ward in Yola North Local Government Area.

Explaining his decision to join the ruling party, Abba said he was motivated by the Tinubu administration’s far-reaching economic policies and commitment to human capital development.

“I want to make it very clear that nobody or any political party can stop President Tinubu from returning to Aso Rock in 2027,” he said. “Nigerians have seen his good work. He is not a tribalist, and he does not make appointments based on religion or region. His decisions are purely based on merit.”

He noted that the widespread infrastructural development and focus on human capital under President Tinubu inspired his support for the administration.

“The president needs our support to continue this good work. We must mobilise more people, beyond party affiliations, to support him,” Abba added.

Meanwhile, Adamu Atiku, the first son of the former vice president, remains a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and currently serves as the Adamawa State Commissioner for Works and Energy Development under Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is reportedly considering a presidential bid on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), although none of his sons are presently members of the party.
