I’ve Never Slept With Another Woman Since I Married My Wife — Aregbesola

Rauf Aregbesola, National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has said he has never been intimate with any other woman since marrying his wife, Sherifat.

The former governor of Osun State made the statement while addressing party supporters at an ADC rally in Ejigbo Local Government Area ahead of the state governorship election.

Speaking in Yoruba, Aregbesola described his fidelity as a personal commitment rooted in his fear of God. He said the decision was part of a spiritual test he set for himself and formed the basis of a prayer he made to God.

According to him, only a few men could confidently make such a claim.

Aregbesola stated that because of his devotion to God, he had not had any relationship with another woman since marrying his wife. He added that he had prayed to God for victory in the next phase of his political journey.

The Osun governorship election is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026.

Incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party is seeking reelection and will face Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Najeem Folasayo Salaam of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
