IEYDA Announces 11th Free ICT, Vocational Skills Acquisition Programme
The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) has announced the commencement of applications for the 11th edition of its Free ICT and Vocational Skill Acquisition Programme aimed at equipping youths and adults with relevant digital and entrepreneurial skills.
The programme, approved by the National President of IEYDA, Alhaji Mohammed Uthman Jagunmo, is being organised under the auspices of the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR.
According to a statement signed by the National Director of Publicity, Alhaji Abdullahi Abdulfatahi Oloyin, registration for the programme opened on July 22 and will close on July 31, 2026. Participation is free, and interested applicants are required to obtain the application form at no cost.
The ICT training will cover Digital Marketing, Document Management, Digital Presentation, Graphics Design, Virtual Classroom, General Artificial Intelligence (AI), as well as CCTV Installation and Maintenance.
Participants will also benefit from bonus vocational sessions on custard and powdered milk production, air freshener, perfume and balm production, liquid soap and scouring powder making, alongside mentorship and career guidance.
Training is scheduled to commence immediately after documentation on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the IEYDA National Secretariat, Aishat Adepate House, 46 Edun Street, Ilorin.
IEYDA encouraged interested students and adults across the Ilorin Emirate and beyond to take advantage of the initiative to acquire practical skills that will enhance their employability, entrepreneurship, and personal development.
