Fidau Prayer Scheduled for Late Chief Imam of Ilorin
The Ilorin Emirate Council has announced the schedule for the Fidāu prayer in honour of the late Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh (Dr.) Muhammad Bashir Imam Saliu Al-Fulani, OON.
According to the announcement, the Fidāu prayer will be held on Sunday, 25th January 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Ilorin Central Mosque, Emir’s Palace Square, Ilorin.
The late Chief Imam, a highly respected Islamic scholar and spiritual leader, was renowned for his lifelong dedication to Islam, scholarship, and community service. His passing has been deeply felt across the Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State, and the wider Nigerian Muslim community.
The Emirate Council called on members of the public, Islamic scholars, and well-wishers to attend the prayer session and join in supplications for the repose of his soul.
The Council prayed Allah (SWT) to forgive the shortcomings of the late cleric and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
The announcement was issued by Dr. Abdulraheem Muritala, on behalf of the Emir of Ilorin.
