Dino Melaye Accuses Three Ex-PDP Officials of ‘Selling’ Party to Tinubu

Former Kogi West Senatorial District lawmaker, Dino Melaye, has accused three former officials of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of allegedly handing over the party to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Melaye made the allegation during an interview on the Kaa Truths podcast.

The former senator, who is now a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), named the former acting National Chairman of the PDP, Umar Damagum; former National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu; and former National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature, as those he accused of undermining the party.

According to Melaye, the trio worked towards handing over the PDP to President Tinubu, while the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, later completed what he described as the “final funeral” of the party.

“Damagun, Anyanwu and Bature sold out the PDP to the president before Wike finally organised the burial of the party,” Melaye said.

His comments come amid continued internal disagreements and leadership disputes within the PDP, which have further deepened divisions among members of the opposition party.
