Building Collapse: Engr. Olododo Condoles Victims’ Families, Commends Rescue Efforts
The 2027 APC House of Representatives candidate for Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency, Engr. Abdulquawiy Olododo, has condoled with the families of the victims of the three-storey, 30-room building that collapsed at Oke-Oyan in the Popo-Giwa area of Ilorin West Local Government Area, Kwara State.
In a condolence statement personally signed by him on Tuesday, Olododo expressed deep sadness over the tragedy and commiserated with the affected families and the entire Popo-Giwa community.
He prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured and receiving medical attention, while commending Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his personal intervention, including his visit to the affected community and his meeting with some of the survivors at the hospital.
He also commended the Kwara State Government, the Kwara State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), the Kwara State Fire Service, the Hospitals Management Board, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and other emergency agencies for their prompt and coordinated rescue efforts.
Engr. Olododo prayed that Almighty Allah grant the deceased eternal rest, comfort the bereaved families, and grant the survivors and the entire Popo-Giwa community the strength to overcome the painful loss.
