BREAKING : Engr. Kale Kawu Emerges PDP Consensus Governorship Candidate in Kwara

Kale Kawu has emerged as the consensus governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State ahead of the party’s gubernatorial primaries.

The announcement was made in a statement shared via the Facebook page of Bukola Saraki, the national leader of the party and former President of the Senate, following what he described as extensive consultations with stakeholders of the Kwara PDP and leading governorship aspirants.

According to the statement, party leaders and aspirants reached a consensus decision in support of Engr. Kale Kawu as the candidate to fly the party’s flag in the forthcoming governorship election.

Saraki also commended other aspirants who reportedly stepped down in support of the consensus arrangement, describing their actions as a demonstration of unity, sacrifice, and commitment to the collective interest of the party and Kwara State.

“It is this spirit of unity and selflessness that will carry us to victory,” the statement read.

He further wished party members, delegates, and supporters a peaceful, successful, and orderly outing during the gubernatorial primaries.

The development is expected to shape the political landscape ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in Kwara State.
