Beneficiaries Set to Graduate as Abibakr As-Sidiq Philanthropic Home Concludes Orphan Support Project
The Abibakr As-Sidiq Philanthropic Home has announced the Graduation and Distribution Ceremony for beneficiaries of its Orphan Support Project.
The President of Abibakr As-Sidiq Philanthropic Home, Mallam Abdulrazzaq Ibrahim Salman, made this known in a statement issued in Ilorin on Friday.
According to Mallam Abdulrazzaq, the Graduation Ceremony and Distribution of Project Support Items, under the foundation’s Orphan Support Project, will take place on Monday, 12 January 2026 in Ilorin, Kwara State capital.
He said the event marks the final phase of the Orphan Support Project, which focuses on meeting the basic needs of orphaned children, providing education support, healthcare access, psychosocial care, and skills acquisition across participating orphanage homes.
Mallam Abdulrazzaq added that during the ceremony, beneficiaries who have successfully completed vocational training in tailoring, catering, and computer hardware maintenance and repair will formally graduate and receive the tools and equipment needed to begin sustainable livelihoods.
In addition, essential items supporting the basic needs of enrolled orphans, including food supplies and accommodation materials, will be officially distributed in line with the project proposal, the president said.
The project, which is currently 95% complete, has provided comprehensive support to orphans through:
• Payment of school fees for multiple academic terms
• Continuous healthcare services through partner hospitals
• Distribution of food items to orphanage homes
• Psychosocial support, including the provision of recreational facilities
• Skills training and empowerment for long-term self-reliance
The Orphan Support Project is implemented by Abibakr As-Sidiq Philanthropic Home with the generous support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), in collaboration with relevant government authorities and orphanage institutions.
The graduation and distribution ceremony represents a major milestone in strengthening the welfare, dignity, and future opportunities of vulnerable children and youth under the project.
