Hon. Owolabi Congratulates Jumoke Gafar on NMDPRA Appointment

The member representing Share/Oke-Ode Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. rasaq Owotunde Owolabi, has congratulated Mrs Jumoke Gafar on her appointment as Secretary to the Board/Authority and Legal Adviser of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

President Tinubu approved Mrs Gafar’s appointment on Friday, October 30, 2026, subject to the completion of statutory processes under Section 46 of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).

In his congratulatory message, Hon. Owolabi described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Gafar’s professional competence, dedication and contributions to the legal profession.

The lawmaker commended President Tinubu for the appointment, expressing confidence that Mrs Gafar would bring her wealth of experience and expertise to bear in strengthening the operations of the regulatory authority.

He noted that the appointment comes with significant responsibilities and expressed optimism that she would discharge her duties with professionalism, integrity and commitment to national development.

Hon. Owolabi further wished Mrs Gafar a successful tenure, praying that Almighty God would grant her the wisdom, strength and guidance required to excel in her new position.
