Family Holds Fidau Prayer for Late Alhaji Abdulmumeen Esinrogunjo in Ilorin

Family members of the late Alhaji Abdulmumeen Esinrogunjo, father of Comrade Musbahudeen Esinrogunjo, on Sunday gathered with Islamic scholars, community leaders, friends and well-wishers for a Fidau prayer in his honour.

The prayer was held at the Esinrogunjo Compound in the Pakata area of Ilorin, Kwara State.

The Fidau prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki, who prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul and sought Allah’s forgiveness for his shortcomings.

He also prayed for Allah to grant the bereaved family the strength, patience and fortitude to bear the loss.

In his sermon, the Makadam Agba of Ilorin Emirate, Sheikh Sulaimon Danboronu, urged the family to remain patient and steadfast in their faith, reminding them that death is an inevitable part of human existence and that every soul will ultimately return to its Creator.

Sheikh Danboronu encouraged the bereaved family not to be overwhelmed by grief but to take solace in Allah and continue to offer prayers and good deeds on behalf of the deceased.

He reminded the gathering that worldly life is temporary while the Hereafter is everlasting, urging Muslims to use their time on earth for righteous deeds and prepare for the life to come.

The cleric further called on the family to uphold the good legacy of the late Alhaji Abdulmumeen Esinrogunjo by continuing to promote unity, kindness and other virtuous deeds within the community.

He prayed for Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings, grant him eternal rest and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

The Fidau was attended by dignitaries and political leaders, including Kwara PDP chieftain, Hon. Moshood Mustapha; PDP Kwara South Senatorial Candidate, Hon. Prince Saheed Popoola; General Manager of the Kwara State Social Investment Programme Agency (KWASSIP), Dr Abdulwasiu Tejidini; PDP State Legal Adviser, Alhaja Monsurat Peace; Welfare Director, Obalowo Olaitan; State Secretary, Abdulrahman Kayode; and Director of ABS Foundation, Engr. Ibrahim Olayinka Otukoko.
