Abibakr As Sidiq Philanthropic Home Provides Three Solar Boreholes for Communities in Benin Republic

Abibakr As Sidiq Philanthropic Home has successfully completed the implementation of three solar-powered deep water borehole facilities in vulnerable communities across Benin Republic, providing sustainable access to clean and safe drinking water for thousands of beneficiaries.

The humanitarian intervention was implemented with the support and coordination of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) as part of ongoing efforts to improve access to safe water and strengthen community well-being in underserved areas.

The completed borehole facilities were constructed in the communities of:
• Ketupe
• Zeoute
• Zian Ifangni

Each facility was equipped with solar-powered pumping systems, elevated water storage tanks, public fetching points, drainage systems, and protective fencing to ensure sustainability, safety, and long-term community benefit.

Speaking on the completion of the project, Barr. Farid Abdulrazzaq Salman, Chief Operating Officer of Abibakr As Sidiq Philanthropic Home, described the intervention as a major contribution toward improving public health and addressing water scarcity challenges faced by vulnerable communities in Benin Republic.

“This project represents more than water infrastructure; it represents dignity, improved health, hope, and sustainable humanitarian impact for vulnerable families and communities,” he stated.

The project is expected to significantly reduce dependence on unsafe water sources, improve hygiene and sanitation conditions, and reduce the burden on women and children who previously travelled long distances daily in search of water.

Community members expressed appreciation for the intervention and acknowledged the positive transformation the project has brought to their daily lives.

Abibakr As Sidiq Philanthropic Home reaffirmed its commitment to continuing humanitarian and development initiatives focused on water access, community resilience, and sustainable support for vulnerable populations across Africa.
