Tinubu Arrives in Kenya for Africa-France Summit

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, to participate in the Africa Forward Summit, jointly hosted by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron.

The Nigerian leader touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in the early hours of Monday and was received by senior Kenyan government officials, including Musalia Mudavadi, Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, alongside members of Nigeria’s diplomatic mission in Kenya.

The summit will bring together African heads of state, policymakers, business leaders, development partners, and other stakeholders to discuss strategies for economic transformation, trade expansion, digital innovation, infrastructure development, climate resilience, and sustainable prosperity across the continent.

According to a statement issued by presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu is expected to engage in high-level bilateral and multilateral meetings aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s diplomatic and economic ties with other African nations.

The statement noted that the President’s participation underscores Nigeria’s commitment to advancing Africa-driven solutions to continental challenges while promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda through strategic international partnerships.

President Tinubu is accompanied by several top government officials, including Bianca Ojukwu, Abubakar Kyari, Adegboyega Oyetola, Bosun Tijani, and other senior government officials.
