Adeleke Confident of Re-election Ahead of Osun Governorship Poll

Ademola Adeleke says his administration’s performance and leadership style will earn him a second term in the August 15 governorship election in Osun State.

The governor made the remark while hosting members of the Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria at the Government House in Osogbo on Wednesday.

Adeleke highlighted achievements in sectors such as the economy, education, sports, health, and agriculture, noting that his government has adhered to due process, ensured fair distribution of infrastructure, and managed state finances prudently.

He also said his re-election campaign would focus on an upgraded five-point agenda, prioritising youth, women and workers’ welfare, infrastructure development, agro-industrial expansion, quality healthcare, improved education, and a better business environment for job creation.

The governor urged the Islamic group to pray for a peaceful and credible election, pledging to continue running an inclusive and development-focused government if re-elected.

Earlier, the society’s secretary, Hafiz Akande, commended Adeleke’s performance and appealed for government support to rebuild a mosque affected by a road dualisation project in Iwo.
