2027 : Saliu Mustapha Cleared for Kwara Governorship Race

The race for the Kwara State governorship ticket intensified on Friday as the Senator representing Kwara Central, Saliu Mustapha, secured clearance to participate in the governorship contest.

Senator Mustapha will contest alongside other leading aspirants, including Abdulfatah Yahaya Seriki-Gambari, Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, and a late entrant, Yakubu Danladi.

It would be recalled that Senator Mustapha, on Thursday, urged his supporters to turn out en masse at the venue of the exercise to participate in the voting process.

Political observers say the clearance of Senator Mustapha has further heightened interest in the contest, with party members and stakeholders closely watching the outcome of the primary election.
