2027 Polls: ADC Is No Match For APC — Yilwatda
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has said the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is not a threat to the ruling party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday, Yilwatda described the ADC as a coalition formed mainly to unseat the APC, but insisted the ruling party remains stronger in structure and membership.
He also dismissed claims that the APC is forcefully recruiting civil servants, stating that the party has not pressured anyone to join.
Yilwatda further highlighted the APC-led Federal Government’s intervention programmes, including the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which he said has supported over one million students with tuition loans and a monthly allowance of N20,000.
He added that other welfare initiatives such as health insurance have also benefited millions of Nigerians.
