2027 : Jagunlabi Declares for Kwara Reps Seat, Promises Better Representation
Hon. Abiola Abdulkareem Jagunlabi has officially declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Ekiti/Irepodun/Oke-Ero/Isin Federal Constituency in Kwara State.
Jagunlabi, who currently serves as Special Assistant to the Honourable Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, made his declaration in a post via official instagram page on Saturday.
According to the post, Jagunlabi said his decision to rejoin the race was driven by a deeper commitment to the development of the constituency and the collective aspirations of its people.
“I stand today with a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper commitment to serve the good people of Ekiti/Irepodun/Oke-Ero and Isin Federal Constituency,” he stated.
He recalled his 2021 bid for the same seat, noting that although the outcome did not favour him, his dedication to the people remained steadfast.
“Since then, I have remained actively engaged—serving at the national level while staying closely connected to our communities, supporting our youths, empowering our women, and standing with our people every step of the way,” he added.
Jagunlabi described his renewed ambition as a “collective movement rooted in justice and fairness,” inspired by the yearnings and hopes of the constituency.
Declaring his readiness for the 2027 general elections, he said he is now more experienced, prepared, and determined to deliver impactful and purposeful representation.
“This is not just a personal ambition; it is about building a future defined by progress, inclusion, and opportunity for all,” he said.
He urged constituents to support his vision, adding that his comeback bid represents a fresh opportunity to reposition the constituency for sustainable growth.
“The mission is clear. This comeback is for the people,” Jagunlabi affirmed.
The declaration was marked with the slogan, “Jagunlabi 2027 – Breath of Fresh Air.”
