James Faleke, the lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has collected the All Progressives Congress (APC) expression of interest and nomination forms on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The forms were formally presented to Faleke by Suleiman Argungu, the APC National Organising Secretary, at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja. Faleke, who is also known as the founder of the Tinubu Support Groups, received the documents during the brief ceremony attended by party officials.

The nomination forms, valued at N100 million, were reportedly paid for in support of the president’s second-term ambition ahead of the 2027 general election.

A photograph from the event showed Faleke standing alongside Argungu and other APC officials during the presentation.

The development marks the early stage of President Tinubu’s re-election campaign ahead of the 2027 presidential race.

According to the timetable released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the presidential and National Assembly elections are scheduled for Saturday, January 16, 2027, while governorship and state assembly elections will hold on Saturday, February 6, 2027.

INEC also stated that party primaries and resolution of pre-election disputes will take place between April 23 and May 30, 2026. Campaigns for the presidential and National Assembly elections are expected to begin on August 19, while governorship and state assembly campaigns will commence on September 9.
