2027: Bakare Mobilises Ifelodun PDP Stakeholders, Announces Monthly Support for Wards

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency, Hon. Moshood Olanrewaju Bakare, has engaged party stakeholders, ward leaders, women leaders and elders in Ifelodun Local Government Area as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Bakare, who spoke at a stakeholders’ meeting in the local government, called for unity among party members and urged stakeholders to welcome and integrate new members into the party.

He emphasised the need for members to work together as one political family, saying a united party structure would be critical to effective grassroots engagement.

The PDP candidate also announced plans to provide monthly financial support to the wards to enhance grassroots party activities and strengthen the party’s structures across the local government.

Bakare further said the federal constituency ticket should be regarded as a mandate belonging to the people of Ifelodun, Offa and Oyun, rather than as the personal possession of any individual.

He urged party stakeholders to prioritise the collective interests of the constituency, particularly the security challenges confronting communities across Kwara South.

Also speaking, the PDP candidate for the Share/Oke-Ode Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Jogunola, called for greater unity, cooperation and grassroots mobilisation among party members.

Hon. Abdullateef Ojomu, a PDP aspirant for the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency, commended the stakeholders for their commitment to the party and urged them to strengthen its grassroots structures.

Ojomu stressed the importance of accommodating new members and working collectively despite individual differences, noting that the party’s strength would depend on its ability to remain united and focused on the interests of the people.

He called on ward leaders, women leaders and other stakeholders to intensify grassroots engagement and ensure that the party’s structures remain active and inclusive ahead of the 2027 elections.

The PDP Chairman in Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. W.W. Memudu, also appealed to party members to remain united and support all PDP candidates, describing Bakare as a son of Ifelodun.

The meeting was attended by party leaders, ward representatives, women leaders and other stakeholders from across Ifelodun Local Government Area.
