Kwara United Bounce Back with 2–1 Victory Against Warri Wolves
Kwara United ended a three-game goalless streak with a 2–1 win over Warri Wolves in Monday’s NPFL Matchday 24 clash at George Innih Stadium, Ilorin.
Saheed Olaniyi starred, opening the scoring with a brilliant bicycle kick in the 17th minute before converting a second-half penalty.
Warri Wolves’ Ita Peter pulled one back in the 75th minute, but the Harmony Boys held on for all three points.
Coach Ashifat Suleiman hailed the win as a major morale boost ahead of their next game, while Warri Wolves’ coach Napoleon Aluma praised the quality of the pitch. Olaniyi was named Man of the Match.
Kwara United are 17th on the table with 27 points and face Plateau United in Jos next Sunday.
