Jagunma Leads Kwara delegates to PCRC National Security Conference in Lokoja

The Assistant National Auditor General of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Alhaji Mohammed Uthman Jagunma, has led the Kwara State PCRC delegates to the North Central Security Conference of the National PCRC held in Lokoja, Kogi State.

The conference brought together executives and members from across the North Central Geopolitical Zone, reinforcing coordinated regional efforts toward strengthening community policing and public safety. It also had strong representation from Zone 8 Command, comprising Kwara and Kogi States. Among the delegates present were the Kwara State PCRC Chairman, Alhaji Issa Adebayo Akanbi Lawal, other Kwara PCRC executives and members, as well as North Central delegates and stakeholders.

The conference was presided over by the National Chairman of the PCRC, Alhaji Ibrahim Mogaji Olaniyan, who urged members to prioritize community trust, reinforce police–citizen collaboration, and ensure that strategies developed at the zonal conference are implemented effectively across the North Central Geopolitical Zone. He commended participants for their dedication and encouraged continuous engagement to strengthen the committee’s vision nationwide.

The Governor of Kogi State was represented at the conference by SSA Security Matters, Hon. Isah Abdulkarim, who delivered a speech pledging the state’s full support to PCRC initiatives and promising continued collaboration between the government, communities, and law enforcement agencies to enhance security across the state.

Ahead of the conference, Jagunma and the National Chairman were received at the Kogi State House of Assembly by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, and other members of the House, where discussions focused on legislative cooperation and strategic alignment to support sustainable security frameworks within the North Central Geopolitical Zone.
