APC Extends Electronic Membership Registration to February 8
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its electronic membership registration exercise to February 8, 2026.
The party’s spokesperson, Felix Morka, disclosed this in a statement issued after the 183rd meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC), held on Friday at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.
According to the statement, the extension — originally scheduled to end on January 31 — followed appeals from party stakeholders seeking more time to enable additional supporters and members to register and validate their membership.
The APC also announced that ward congresses will now take place on February 18, while the party’s national convention has been rescheduled for March 27 and 28.
However, Osun State, Ekiti State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) were excluded from the scheduled congresses due to forthcoming elections. Rivers State was also excluded owing to the subsisting tenure of the current state executive committee.
The party further confirmed that a National Convention Planning Committee has been constituted, adding that details of the revised congress timetable, schedule of activities and composition of the committee will be communicated in due course.
