Eid-el-Kabir: Senator Mustapha distributes sallah packages across Kwara Central
The lawmaker representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Senator Saliu Mustapha, has commenced the distribution of Eid-el-Kabir (Sallah) relief packages to households across the constituency to support residents during the festive season.
The initiative is aimed at putting smiles on the faces of the people and ensuring a joyful Eid-el-Kabir celebration for families across the senatorial district.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, the senator’s legislative aide, Abdulkadir Tunde, said the gesture reflects Senator Mustapha’s unwavering commitment to the welfare and well-being of the people of Kwara Central, particularly during important religious celebrations when many families require additional support.
He explained that the packages, which include food items and other essential materials, are being distributed across communities in the four local government areas that make up the senatorial district.
According to him, Senator Mustapha remains dedicated to programmes and initiatives that directly impact the lives of the people, noting that the Sallah outreach forms part of broader efforts to support vulnerable residents and strengthen community bonds during festive periods.
The Senator’s aide further stated that the distribution of food items during festive seasons has become a tradition for the senator, recalling that a similar gesture was extended to residents during the Christmas celebrations.
He added that beyond Kwara Central, the senator also reaches out to residents in other senatorial districts to enable more people enjoy the festive season with happiness and dignity.
Beneficiaries of the gesture expressed appreciation to the senator for the timely intervention, describing it as a thoughtful move that would help many families celebrate the Sallah season in happiness and comfort.
The beneficiaries also prayed for continued success and strength for Senator Mustapha who is also the Turaki of Ilorin in his service to the people of Kwara Central.
