Seyi Makinde Declares 2027 Presidential Bid, Says Nigeria Needs “Reset”

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has formally announced his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election.

Makinde made the declaration on Thursday during a joint mega-rally organised by the Peoples Democratic Party and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Speaking at the event, the governor said his ambition is driven by the need to “reset” Nigeria and set the country on a new path of progress and development ahead of the 2027 general elections.
