Osun 2026: I’m Already Sensing Victory — Adeleke
Governor Ademola Adeleke has expressed strong optimism about winning a second term as he inaugurated a 52-member campaign committee ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
The committee, unveiled on Wednesday in the presence of top government officials and party leaders, is tasked with driving the governor’s re-election bid. Adeleke said he is confident the team will deliver victory at the polls.
Reflecting on his 2022 electoral success, the governor urged members of the committee to work diligently, declaring that he could already “feel the victory” and the defeat of his opponents.
“This is how we started in 2022. Today marks the march towards victory on August 15. I charge this campaign council to ensure continuity and the delivery of good governance,” he said.
The campaign committee will be chaired by Wale Oladipo, a former National Secretary of the PDP, while Lere Oyewumi will serve as Director-General.
Other members include the State Commissioner for Information, Kolapo Alimi (Deputy Director-General); Pelumi Olajengbesi as spokesperson; and Bola Ajao as secretary.
Also on the team are PDP National Treasurer Prince Diran Odeyemi, Osun PDP Chairman Sunday Bisi, and popular music star Davido, among others.
