Presidency Says Wale Edun Resigned Over Ill Health, Not Sacked

The presidency has clarified that Wale Edun was not removed from office but voluntarily resigned due to health concerns.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga said Edun stepped down from his role as minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy following recent illness.

Onanuga also disclosed that Musa Dangiwa, the former minister of housing, resigned from the Federal Executive Council, expressing gratitude to Bola Tinubu for the opportunity to serve in his administration.
