IEYDA Felicitates Emir of Ilorin at 86, Announces Special Prayer Session

The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association has congratulated the revered monarch, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, on the occasion of his 86th birthday anniversary scheduled for April 22.

The association, under the leadership of its National President, Alhaji Muhammed Uthman Jagunmo, described the Emir as a symbol of growth, development, and unity within the Ilorin Emirate and beyond.

In a statement signed by its National Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Abdullahi Abdulfatahi Oloyin the group announced plans to hold a special prayer session in honour of the monarch.

The prayer is scheduled to take place at the Ilorin Eid Praying Ground at 4:00 p.m. on April 22, 2026.

IEYDA noted that the initiative is aimed at appreciating the Emir’s impactful reign and seeking continued divine guidance, good health, and longevity for him.

The association reaffirmed its admiration for the monarch’s leadership, describing him as a unifying figure whose influence continues to foster peace and progress across the emirate and beyond.
