APC Fixes N100m Presidential Form, N50m Governorship Form Ahead of 2027 Elections
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, including the fees for nomination and expression of interest forms for aspirants.
In a statement released on Monday and signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, the APC set the total cost of the presidential forms at N100 million—comprising N70 million for the nomination form and N30 million for the expression of interest.
For governorship aspirants, the party pegged the total cost at N50 million, with N40 million for the nomination form and N10 million for the expression of interest.
The party also outlined fees for other elective positions. Senate aspirants are to pay N3 million for the expression of interest form and N17 million for the nomination form, while those seeking seats in the House of Representatives will pay N1 million and N9 million, respectively.
For state house of assembly positions, the expression of interest form is fixed at N1 million, while the nomination form costs N5 million.
According to the APC, female aspirants, youths, and persons with disabilities are required to pay the full expression of interest fee but will receive a 50 percent discount on the nomination form.
The party further disclosed that its presidential primary election is scheduled for May 15 and 16. This will be followed by the House of Representatives primary on May 18, Senate on May 20, state houses of assembly on May 21, and governorship primaries on May 23.
