2027: Amule Declares for Ilorin East/South Reps Seat
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Bashir Olayinka Amule, has formally declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Ilorin East/Ilorin South Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.
In a statement, Amule said he had begun consultations with party stakeholders as part of his bid to secure the PDP ticket.
As part of the declaration process, the aspirant visited the PDP secretariat in Ilorin East Local Government Area, where he presented his letter of intent to party leaders and stakeholders.
Addressing party members, Amule described his ambition as a service-driven mission aimed at delivering purposeful and people-oriented representation. He stressed that his aspiration is not a “do-or-die” affair, but one anchored on unity, inclusiveness, and the overall growth of the party.
He further reassured stakeholders of his commitment to strengthening cohesion within the PDP, noting that his goal is to build bridges across all segments of the constituency rather than foster division.
Highlighting his focus on youth and education, Amule also donated 12 NABTEB examination forms to beneficiaries across the 12 wards of Ilorin East Local Government Area.
Party members and stakeholders who received him commended the gesture, describing his visit as timely and reflective of his grassroots connection and readiness to engage with the people.
