2027: APC Mobilising Nigerians Nationwide for Electoral Victory — Yilwatda
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has said the party is intensifying mobilisation efforts across the country to secure victory in the 2027 general elections.
Yilwatda stated this on Friday in Abuja after inaugurating members of the APC National Campaign Council for the 2026 Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Councils election.
Expressing confidence in the party’s chances, the APC chairman said the party was working harder than any other political party to ensure success at the polls.
“We are mobilising more than any other political party in Nigeria, and we are confident we will win the election,” he said.
According to him, the party’s mobilisation drive is being carried out at the grassroots through its governors across the six geo-political zones. He explained that governors have been reaching out to different communities by deploying party leaders and agents to engage residents across various tribes.
Yilwatda commended members of the campaign council for accepting the assignment, describing their appointment as a reflection of the party’s trust in their loyalty and capacity.
“This party is your home. We must open the space for inclusive participation and provide leadership that attracts Nigerians from every corner,” he said.
He urged the council members to intensify mobilisation efforts and ensure the party records victory at all levels.
Describing the FCT Area Councils election as a strategic political contest, Yilwatda said it would require unity, coordination and strong grassroots engagement across the six councils.
He also noted that the growing influx of politicians from other parties into the APC was evidence of the party’s increasing national acceptance and the confidence Nigerians now have in it.
Yilwatda said the forthcoming election offers the APC an opportunity to regain lost ground and strengthen its dominance in the FCT. He added that the campaign council would adopt aggressive voter mobilisation and deploy well-planned strategies to secure victory.
He further explained that the council’s composition reflects Nigeria’s geo-political diversity, noting that the FCT belongs to all Nigerians.
“The FCT belongs to all Nigerians; if we execute our strategies effectively and work as one united party, victory is assured,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Campaign Council and Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, pledged to deliver victory for the party.
AbdulRazaq thanked the APC leadership, especially Yilwatda, for the confidence reposed in the council members, assuring that they would mobilise voters and strengthen grassroots structures to secure success in the election.
