Tottenham Appoint De Zerbi as New Manager
Tottenham Hotspur have appointed Roberto De Zerbi as their new manager, the club confirmed in a statement on Tuesday.
The Italian tactician takes over less than 48 hours after the club parted ways with Igor Tudor, who managed just one win in seven matches during his brief spell in charge.
Tottenham noted that De Zerbi’s appointment remains subject to the approval of a work permit.
The North London club have now appointed four managers in the last nine months, following a period of instability that began after the dismissal of Ange Postecoglou in June 2025 — just two weeks after he led the team to a Europa League triumph.
Postecoglou was succeeded by Thomas Frank, who was dismissed in February with the team sitting 16th in the league after a poor run of form.
Tudor was then brought in, but worsening results saw him leave after only 44 days in charge.
Tottenham are currently battling relegation, sitting 17th in the Premier League table, just one point above the drop zone.
De Zerbi previously managed Brighton & Hove Albion, where he guided the club to their highest-ever Premier League finish and secured European qualification for the first time in their history. He most recently coached Olympique de Marseille before returning to England.
