Withdraw all intra-party court cases – PDP tells Members
In an announcement on Tuesday, PDP spokesperson Debo Ologunagba revealed that the party’s national working committee (NWC), during its November 28 meeting, thoroughly assessed the party’s status and mandated the immediate withdrawal of all intra-party litigations across the country.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a directive for its members to withdraw all ongoing intra-party legal disputes.
In an announcement on Tuesday, PDP spokesperson Debo Ologunagba revealed that the party’s national working committee (NWC), during its November 28 meeting, thoroughly assessed the party’s status and mandated the immediate withdrawal of all intra-party litigations across the country.
This decision is grounded in section 58 (1)(1) of the party’s constitution and aligns with the principles of unity and reconciliation.
The NWC urged leaders, crucial stakeholders, and members throughout the nation to stand united and uphold the values that define the PDP as a genuinely democratic party.
The statement highlighted the internal conflicts within the PDP, particularly concerning the position of the national secretary, which has led members to pursue various court orders.
Additionally, the PDP NWC disclosed that it considered and approved the report from the establishment committee responsible for appointing a substantive director-general of the Peoples Democratic Institute (PDI).
The announcement of the successful candidate is expected shortly.
