Dino Melaye, the gubernatorial candidate representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi, has articulated his commitment to the state’s people.

During a recent visit to Anthony Adaji, the Catholic bishop of Idah diocese in Kogi, Melaye emphasized his aspiration to free Kogi from what he described as the insensitive and incompetent leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Melaye, a former legislator, alleged that the APC-led government in Kogi has failed to pay workers’ salaries promptly, resulting in significant hardship for the populace.

He expressed his long-standing dedication to the welfare of Kogi residents and highlighted the importance of just compensation for workers, stating that it is a divine imperative.

He further asserted that his goal, with the support of prominent Kogi leaders, is to put an end to the suffering, loss of lives, and unfair dismissals from public service. Melaye emphasized the need for prayers and support from spiritual leaders to achieve righteousness and progress in the state.

Melaye assured that, if elected as governor, he would prioritize the well-being of all Kogi residents, irrespective of their ethnic or religious backgrounds. The Kogi gubernatorial election is scheduled to take place on November 11.
