We’re reconsidering our stance on tomorrow’s strike – labour unions
The strike is scheduled to begin with a mass protest.

The Organised Labour, comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC), is reconsidering its decision to embark on a nationwide strike on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
The strike is scheduled to begin with a mass protest.
After the rescheduled presidential steering committee on palliatives meeting held in Abuja on Tuesday, Emma Ugbaja, general secretary, NLC, said President Bola Tinubu’s announced measures were welcomed although they were not comprehensive enough.
Ugbaja said the labour unions would consult with its members to reach a consensus on the next course of action before the day ends.
