We’ll show Wike he’s not above the Party, PDP acting chair Says
Damagum underscored that no member is greater than the party, and decisive measures will be taken against those participating in alleged anti-party activities.

Umar Damagum, the acting national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), announced on Tuesday, after an emergency meeting of the PDP national working committee (NWC), that individuals, including Nyesom Wike, the minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), who are involved in “anti-party” acts, will face sanctions at the right time.
Damagum underscored that no member is greater than the party, and decisive measures will be taken against those participating in alleged anti-party activities.
He expressed the party’s commitment to addressing internal matters within the bounds of the law and revealed the establishment of a panel tasked with probing individuals implicated in such activities.
The panel is expected to produce a detailed report and recommend appropriate sanctions against errant members.
Damagum emphasized the party’s stance on accountability, stating that actions will be taken when circumstances warrant, and all individuals involved in anti-party actions, not just Wike, will face sanctions.
