The Kwara central senatorial chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Turawa Mahmud, on Thursday stated that his district will hold onto to the directives of His Excellency, the executive governor of Kwara state, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in conducting the party primary elections.
Turawa stated this while speaking at the Kwara central stakeholders meeting organized to discuss the process of the party primary elections.
According to Turawa, “we gathered here to discussed about our party primary election, we are happy that everyone participated by contributing to the topic of discussion which is should we admit direct or indirect primary and our conclusion was to follow the directives of the number one citizen of Kwara state a person of Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, we have no other person than him.”
“As we meet here to seek for the opinions of our party stakeholders in kwara central senatorial district, same meeting is being held in the two remaining senatorial district, Kwara North and Kwara South. So at the end of every meeting, results will be tabled to our party chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi and he will be one to give His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq feedback of the meetings.”
“Our governor has been proactive in office, and we must commed him for his ourstanding achievenments. We must rally round him, support him and follow his decision and guidelines in making the party primary election direct or indirect.”
“Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has been carrying us along as party executive in decision making, on that note, we would not do anything different from his directives, he is our leader.”
Turawa however advised Kwarans to appreciate the present administration led by Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and support his re-election bid in 2023.
