President Bola Tinubu has stressed the imperative of constructing additional schools to tackle the prevalent issue of out-of-school children in Nigeria.

With UNESCO data indicating an estimated 20.2 million children lacking access to education, Tinubu addressed this concern during a meeting with the national working committee of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos.

Emphasizing the significance of an inclusive democracy, he highlighted key priorities such as poverty eradication, job creation, and the delivery of quality education for the nation.

Tinubu advocated for collaboration among government agencies and urged the APC leadership to focus on women and youth in its ongoing e-registration and digital membership validation exercise, scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2024.

Expressing confidence in the future of democracy in the country, he pledged support for a progressive and inclusive ideology, emphasizing the elimination of poverty and the promotion of quality education.

Specifically addressing the out-of-school children issue, Tinubu called for the establishment of more schools, teacher recruitment, and the provision of daily meals for students, aligning these measures with the party’s progressive goals.
