VP Shettima: Tinubu is Serious About Security
Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima said on Monday that President Bola Tinubu is deeply committed to addressing Nigeria’s security challenges and is taking them seriously.
Speaking with the leadership of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at the Presidential Villa, Shettima stressed the need for regional and collective efforts to address the insecurity in West Africa’s Sahel region, noting its significant impact on Nigeria and neighboring countries.
He highlighted the importance of NAN’s upcoming international lecture on Sahel security, stating, “The lecture is very timely given the current security concerns in the Sahel. President Tinubu is highly focused on this issue.”
Shettima expressed optimism about the outcomes of the conference, anticipating valuable insights into tackling Sahel insecurity. He also commended NAN for its crucial role in Nigeria’s media landscape, noting its role in bridging information gaps and shaping public discourse.
