VeryDarkMan Alleges ₦180m Stolen From NGO Account by Hackers

Social media influencer Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has claimed that hackers stole approximately ₦180 million from his NGO’s account after breaching its website.
In a video shared on Instagram on Friday, VDM revealed that the stolen funds were diverted to an unidentified account. He explained, “I’ve not been myself these past few days. Someone hacked into the NGO website, and ₦180 million is missing. Thankfully, we’ve tracked the hacker, and one suspect has been arrested.”
He further stated that the account had been flagged with a “Post No Debit” (PND) restriction, with ₦20 million remaining in the account, while ₦160 million had been transferred elsewhere. VDM also confirmed that his team was heading to Jos to recover the missing funds.
To safeguard against additional breaches, VDM announced that the NGO’s app had been temporarily suspended for maintenance. He assured followers that updates on the recovery process would be provided.
In October, VDM launched the Martins Vincent Osei Initiative, raising over ₦30 million in donations within hours. Among the notable donors was music executive Michael Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy, who contributed ₦100 million to the initiative.
